The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) presents Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs. The extensive exhibition includes more than 130 treasures from the tomb of Tutankhamun, other Valley of the Kings tombs and additional ancient sites. LACMA is the first United States venue for a 27-month national tour.

The Origins of Sacred Maya Kingship. Organized by LACMA Curator of Pre-Columbian Art Virginia Fields with Dorie Reents-Budet of the National Museum of Natural Histor. The exhibition will present new discoveries in Maya archaeology, art history, and hieroglyphic writing that describe the appearance of kingship among the ancient Maya and its cultural and philosophical foundations.
Pioneering Modern Painting: Cézanne and Pissarro 1865-1885
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) will present Pioneering Modern Painting: Cézanne and Pissarro 1865-1885. Organized by the artist’s great-grandson Joachim the exhibition focuses on the years 1865–85 when Cézanne and Pissarro worked closely with each other, often painting literally side by side. LACMA is the only West Coast venue for the exhibition, which will open in New York and will travel to Los Angeles and to the Musee D’Orsay in Paris.
